The 2018 West Liberty Fireworks Fundraiser Cornhole Tournament is a GO! On Saturday, June 30th, before West Liberty's Annual Fireworks Show at Lions' Club Park, the West Liberty Fireworks Committee will host a cornhole tournament to raise money for the fireworks. The Cornhole Tournament will start at 5pm at Lions' Club Park. Teams of two players each may register below. The cost per team is $10. You must be signed up by June 28th. (You may also sign up and pay your registration fee at Liberty Gathering Place during the restaurant's regular hours.) The Kickball Game will be played under the lights at Lions' Club Park AFTER the Fireworks. The Kickball Game will be limited to the first 20 participants to sign up. Cost to enter is $10 per person. All proceeds will go towards the annual West Liberty Fireworks fund. Sign up below or in the restaurant during regular hours!
It's a $50 buy-in with extra chips given for early registration. Refreshments will be available. There will also be a 50/50 Drawing and a Raffle. Liberty Gathering Place would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to all who supported the West Liberty Fireworks!! The volunteers, those attending, and all who donated...THANK YOU for helping make another West Liberty Fireworks Show a huge success! The 50/50 drawing was won by Todd Siegenthaler, who donated $110 back to the fireworks! Thank you Todd!!! West Liberty's annual fireworks show is 100% community-funded. And it's never too early to start thinking about next year's show. If you would like to donate, you can drop off donations at Liberty Gathering Place or across the street at The Peoples Savings and Loan Co. Thanks again to a great community for supporting the fireworks, and if you have any ideas for fundraising for next year's show, we'd love to hear them. We want a BIGGER show next year!! On Saturday, June 10th, the Liberty Gathering Place held a fundraiser for the village of West Liberty's annual Fourth of July fireworks show. There was fantastic food, friends and fun and games for all at the firehouse.
Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, made a donation, or just had fun and showed their support for the community. A special thank you is due to all of the Liberty Gathering Place employees who helped make the event happen. We are proud to announce that we raised $1200 for the fireworks show on Saturday, June 24th, but we're still about $3000 short with just 10 days to go! If you enjoy the show each year or just want to support the village of West Liberty and the thousands of folks who do enjoy the show, please consider making a monetary donation over the next few days at either the Liberty Gathering Place or The Peoples Savings and Loan Company in downtown West Liberty. Liberty Gathering Place is excited to invite you to a Spring Block Party! Proceeds from the party will go to the village of West Liberty's 4th of July Fireworks Fund.
